Lyric Theatre @ Illinois, in conjunction with the School of Music, offers a diverse group of degree programs that are built to prepare young musicians for a wide range of careers. Annual performing opportunities for students include three fully staged productions; opera and musical theatre scenes prepared and performed by the studio class; large choral works with orchestra; and degree and non-degree recitals. World-class performance venues on campus in the Krannert Center and Smith Memorial Hall enhance the student’s overall experience. Our program has produced singers who have attained international acclaim and others who are presently enjoying significant performing careers around the world.
